Energize Thurston

Save Energy. Save Money. Stay Comfortable.

Have you been looking for air conditioning, energy savings, or a way to reduce your carbon footprint? Heat pumps provide highly efficient, electric space heating and water heating, plus access to cooling to make your home more comfortable.

Energize Thurston supports your switch to electric appliances by providing access to discounted equipment, instant rebates, and customer support to streamline installations of heat pump heating and cooling systems, and heat pump water heaters.

Energize Thurston is supported by a partnership among Thurston County; cities of Olympia, Lacey, and Tumwater; and South Puget Sound Habitat for Humanity.

Grants for Low to Moderate-Income Households

If your household income is below 120% of Thurston County area median income (AMI), you may qualify for funds to cover 80-100% of installation costs. The Grant Program will open to new applications in October 2026. Follow the button below to learn more.

We are currently serving 2025 waitlisted applicants for the grant program. If you attended an Energize Thurston workshop in 2025, submitted an application, and were notified that you were put on the waitlist, you do not need to re-apply. Please reach out to energize@co.thurston.wa.us if you have any questions.
